Swabs and Samplers
Surfaces and liquids microbial monitoring can be fast and easy using Millipore’s Samplers and Swab.
There is no media mix, no agar plates to prepare, nothing to sterilize or clean.
Testing is as simple as:
● Sample
● Incubate
● Count
Results are available in 1 to 7 days depending on the application. Recoveries are equivalent to pour plates, streak plates, and open funnels filtration in some cases. The only other equipment needed is an incubator.
Monitoring liquids using Samplers
Pour liquid to test in sampler container. Filter and remove liquid. Incubate.
Monitoring surfaces using Test Kits
Swab the surface and place back into sterile buffer. Remove swab and replace by sampler or pour buffer in a sterile filtration device. Filter and incubate.
HPC Sampler
Contains m-HPC medium for recovery of “stressed” aerobic bacteria (i.e. partially sanitized or nutritionally starved). An example of when to use this might be to test water that has had chlorine added to it. Dental offices, dialysis offices, and hospital environments. Some types of bacteria are slow growers or organisms that were injured from chlorine but not killed.
Coli-Count™ Sampler – A “Total Count” of coliforms
Contains a proprietary coliform medium for recovery of coliform organisms.
Yeast & Mold Sampler
Contains m-Green medium for recovery of yeast and mold.

Specifications :
Note: The same incubation time and temperature should be used for routine testing to establish a standard for comparison. Incubation time and temperature for coliform testing is specific and follows accepted standards.
